Coors Light Soundfields 2014: A night I would love to repeat!

Before starting to describe this flawless night, I really want to mention how grateful I am for actually being able to assist to these events, also have patience with people, but overall, incredibly happy with how Coors Light Soundfields turned out to be, quite a phenomenal and fun night. We (my brothers and close friends, uncle and cousin) arrived almost at 8pm, it was my first time going to el "Muelle 15" and now I know where it is and how to get there. Once we stepped on the area where the fun was going to take place, DJ Nino was finishing his set and then Caleb Calloway started his. He had this funky, more soft-electronic mood music and it was good, but I was really hoping for the more dancing and jumping mood, because not that his set was boring, but we really wanted to start to get a bit crazy, lol.
When the clock struck 9:30pm, the DJ duo called Wolfpack took the stage and literally blew our minds, my brother was really expecting something different and I was with a neutral position, because they probably were going to pump us up, but their set was really fantastic and different. Their sound really showed us how powerful and daring they can be as DJ's. Later, the duo DVBBS played next and they are of course, more known because of their hits, Tsunami and Raveology, and yes, from their set, I was totally expecting it to be full of really good mixes and yes, they totally filled my expectations, and my brother was also really satisfied with their incredible talent. They were really hyper and excited while DJ-ing and said that Puerto Rico were "one of the favorite shows they've played". A really high appraisal.

As soon as DVBBS ended, we had to wait 15 minutes for Empire of the Sun...

AND from them I had already seen some of their performances online to know what they usually perform, how they perform and one thing is watching it online, but live... it is definitely a journey to the galaxies. They have this charisma and presence on stage, even my friends and brothers were a bit taken aback of how talented the main singer, Luke Steele, was! He even broke a guitar, which we suffered for lol, but since they are one of my favorite bands of all time, I was really sentimental about seeing them, I was really happy I could. They played Lux as their intro, Ice On the Dune, We are the people, DNA, Old Favours, Concert Pitch, Surround Sound, Celebrate, Standing on the Shore (FAVORITE AND I SCREAMED), Walking on a Dream and as their closing song, the most popular, Alive. I took so many videos of their songs, and most of them well the audio is not that good, but I'll check again to see if I can upload a bit of Alive, which is the one that sounds better than the rest. BUT looook at these pics I took, (I really tried hehehe, but awesome, right?)

- I love that picture -

Continuing on this flawless night, at 1 AM, my favorite DJ duo composed of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the most talented DJ's, well for me of course, and they are #6 in the world, so yes, their mission in life is to make you feel on top of the world during their sets. I became a fan of them after watching a concert thanks to my uncle, and literally fell in love with both of them. Guys, to be there watching them play live was literally another dream come true, incredibly happy to have been there jumping and fist bumping in the air along to their new songs, which they played and then mixed some of their favorites and our favorites like in some concerts I previously watched like their Tomorrowland set, or their concerts in Belgium or Amsterdam. In the end, we loooved their performance, I wasn't going to leave until they left and literally screaming every time Like Mike spoke, lol.

As soon as they finished their set, it was 2:30am and yes, we had to leave, because we don't like Dubstep (Rusko) and our feet were literally swollen and we couldn't even walk, but it was so much fun, I want to relive it again!

Until the next post, lovelies!

Divergent, Ellie Goulding, The Flash, Paramore Concert and obviously, OUAT.

Hello, lovely readers, yes you are lovely!
I truly don't know what to start writing about, but I think I'll mix them up a bit. This week, British singer, Ellie Goulding released a single called "Beating Heart" which is part of the Divergent Original Soundtrack.

YES, I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THIS.

Not because I'm extremely obsessed with Veronica Roth's Divergent (yet), but I needed a push to motivate myself to keep reading the book since I stopped in chapter 8, not because it is a boring book, but because I'm extremely lazy sometimes. Along with the lyric video of the single that also has some Divergent footage and I cannot truly wait. Now, I'll probably be every free moment in my time reading and finishing the book. The movie comes out March 20th which is just around the corner! And if you have the book, but not finished reading, you can join me in Goodreads (an app you can find it on any App Store) and it keeps track of the pages I've read and more!

Now let's talk about Ellie Goulding's new single for Divergent's Original Soundtrack, which basically consists of her songs and I'm so happy they've recognized that the Brit singer is fantastic and that they should always choose her to make soundtrack songs! So, here's "Beating Heart":

Also I wanted to talk about The Flash, which is a new series spin-off from Grant Gustin's Flash in Arrow, a hero based on the DC comics, and I'm really excited to how this series will turn out to be!
This week, there have been photo releases of his suit and some stills from set which are in the link below the photo and HOPE THAT IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED ARROW, you can and you can also meet Barry Allen and how he does too deserve a show!

Plus, OUAT is back, and it is my ultimate favorite show, I'll probably post the trailer for next Sunday (every week) and I should also add Arrow's next week previews!

Sunday night, I'm making this trend of making Colin notice me in my birthday and reply to me, so just remember I'm @killianswans in Twitter and yay! Hope you can join me!

Also guys, my parents made me an amazing gift for my birthday and it is for a Paramore + Tegan and Sara concert tonight! I'm pretty much in a state of shock, haven't really gotten over the fact that my parents actually bought this for me and that I will cry again in the concert singing all the songs of these two amazing bands. Check out their new music video "Ain't it Fun"

This is it for today guys, and a new post will come out on my birthday and in that post, I'll do like a birthday edition of my music and movie favorites up until now and hope you'll like it! Byeee, until the next post!

Weekly obsessions: Catching up with "The Office", Thirty Seconds To Mars and Once Upon A Time Returns!

Hello to you all my lovely readers,
For you I have today some weekly obsessions that honestly aren't weekly, they have pretty much been life changing... Not kidding.
First, this week, instead of using my free time to read for my classes, which I have read don't get me wrong, I've been catching up with The Office. I looooved Michael Scott (Steve Carell) so much in the series, that after this character left, I pretty much slowed down, and I did arrive to season 8, but with not that much of an enthusiasm as I did enjoy with Michael around. I did however, like I said, managed to keep watching, but now I am more motivated to stick around with the series and actually finish it. I must say this is all of Dwight Schrute's and Jim Harper's fault. Those two are my favorite characters in The Office. So I do strongly recommend this series if you like comedy, sometimes a bit over the line, since this is pretty much a mockery of our society kind of TV show and it really parodies the doings of working in an office, pretty much what you would never do in real life. If you watch Parks and Recreation (another A+ series), then you would love this.

Now in the music area, I have to talk about my endless obsession with the alternative-rock band composed by Jared and Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic, Thirty Seconds To Mars. I pretty much never let a day pass by without listening to their songs, and probably Jared Leto's winning the Oscar put me in this state where I need to listen to 30STM every time I can. You can check out their songs on iTunes, Spotify, and/or anywhere you listen your music in (in my opinion, Spotify is the best out there).
Here are a couple of my favorite songs:

From Yesterday from their album, "A Beautiful Lie"

Night of the Hunter from the album, "This is War":

And yes, their most recent hit, City of Angels from their newest album "Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams":

And last, but REALLY important to me is the return of this endless hiatus of my all time favorite TV show, Once Upon A Time. I'm incandescently and endlessly happy, because now some of our questions will be answered after that horrible mid-season finale left us with that bittersweet feeling of what is going to happen to Emma being cursed, how in the hell did Hook return to the real world, what will happen to the Charmings and the rest of the characters in the Enchanted Forest now that their back, and THE WICKED WITCH from Oz is making a huge appearance to probably make us suffer more, but I'm so happy my show is back and you can follow me on my fangirl account in Twitter: @killianswans where I'll livetweet tonight and you can accompany me in my feelings and cry with me. So, I'm ready for tonight!

Here is the official trailer, so get hyped:

Until the next post loveliessss, AHHHH OUAT RETURNS, #WICKEDISCOMING

Movie Rec: The Royal Tenenbaums + Non-Stop!

Bonjour to you all my dear readers!
Here is my movie recs of the last two weeks, I've been busy of course, I'm a college student and I wish I could spend my days watching movies and writing about them so you can enjoy them as much as I do, or even more!

One week ago, I finally found a link to watch The Royal Tenenbaums. It all started when I went to Best Buy to find movies, and I was thinking of buying at the moment one, because let's face it, I'm low in the budget, but I went and walked through the isles until I spotted Wes Anderson's The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore DVD's and I was, "Oh, I haven't seen these? WHY?" I saw the price, and I almost had a heart attack, because they were each $30.00 and in Blu-ray, and of course, I was so sad, in the end, I didn't buy anything. Obviously, I picked up my Surface and found a link to watch The Royal Tenenbaums; I've seen Moonrise Kingdom, so I really liked Wes Anderson's work already, (THIS MOVIE IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, PLEASE DO.)

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Stiller, Gene Hackman, Luke Wilson, Owen Wilson and Anjelica Houston, and it's about this unique family, where its composed of the parents Ethelene and Royal with their three children, Margot, Richie and Chas, who are practically geniuses and come together after their father (Royal) announces he has a terminal illness. I practically fell in love with everything this movie presented, because Wes Anderson's movies have this sort of unique feel, at least with the ones I've seen, STILL need to watch Rushmore, but generally his movies have a really vintage, heart-warming and romantic feel that you can't just shake of, you practically feel so attached to the intrigue in the film, you root for whatever is happening in each scene. This movie in particular is heart-warming, funny, the photography (just like in all of his films) are truly amazing and mouth-opening, because it is a pretty film. My favorite character is Margot Tenenbaum, because she's this cool chick, who every girl wants to be, making her own rules, free-spirited and independent, she of course, feels a bit empty, but through the movie, she knows what she's been missing and it was right under her nose. I'm trying not to spoil anything, but I also love Richie, A LOT, (young Luke Wilson is one of my never-ending crushes), but trust me, you'll adore this family's adventures, so hope you enjoy it! Also, forgot to mention, that Bill Murray always is in his films, and if you didn't know much about him, or you really don't like him that much, trust me that you'll love his roles in Anderson's movies, because he's simply a genius actor.

This year, there will be a new Wes Anderson called The Grand Budapest Hotel starring Ralph Fiennes, Saoirse Ronan and much more, and it is filled with adventures, I'm so excited to watch it already so here's the trailer:

Yesterday, I went to the cinema and I really wanted to see The Wind Rises, but I couldn't because my nearby movie theater didn't brought it, so I was like "What now?" so I noticed that Non-Stop was and its cast, and a movie starring Liam Neeson is bound to be likeable, because come on! This man! It also starred Julianne Moore, Michelle Dockery (from Downton Abbey), Lupita Nyong'o (12 Years A Slave, not a big role, but still). It is a suspense-thriller where Bill Marks receives various death threats via text messages putting in danger the lives of 150 passengers in a plane from New York to London. The movie reminded me of the suspense the movie Argo had, my brothers, a close friend and I were at the edge of the seat with our mouths opened at every scene and every revelation the movie throwed at us, truly taking us by surprise each minute. I didn't think I would like it a lot, but I did, I think I like those movies who really put us at a tension and then at the end, it was all worth it suffering for the characters. So here I'll leave you the trailer for you to decide to go to the cinema, and have it on consideration!

Comment below if you enjoyed the post and recommend me more movies to watch and recommend to others! Until the next post lovelies!
